Well, it's been four years (!) in the making, but today, I am proud to tell you the premiere episode of mine and co-host Alana Hope Levinson's crime podcast "THE OUTFIT" is now LIVE and available wherever podcasts are found, as well as in full, glorious video podcast format on YouTube.
Today's first episode of "The Outfit," the podcast showing how organized crime explains America, centers on our country's most overlooked founding father, Scarface himself: Al Capone. If America is a hustle--a vicious arena of dog eat dog conflict, citizens scrapping for money and power--then Al Capone remains what he was in his heyday: avatar of greed, panache, and dark power. No wonder people loved him! Everything is about Al Capone in America, so what better way to kick off our series?
